Atlanta Dames
Nationally, each Les Dames Chapter conducts fundraising projects and awards scholarships to women in culinary, beverage and hospitality industries. To date, the 25 Chapters around the US, Canada and Australia have collectively awarded more than $2 million in culinary scholarships.The Atlanta Chapter is renowned for its well-loved annual fundraisers--Afternoon in the Country and Evening in the City. Held each fall at Serenbe in Palmetto, Georgia, Afternoon in the Country is a food and wine extravaganza featuring more than 35 regional chefs, fine wines and micro-brews, a one-of-a-kind cake raffle and an exclusive silent auction. Proceeds from the event benefit the Atlanta Chapter's scholarship fund and the Georgia organic farming community.
The 2009 Board for the Atlanta Chapter Les Dames d'Escoffier includes Barb Pires, President; Andrea Case, Vice President; Dana Dabruzzi, Secretary and Rebecca Lang, Treasurer. Virginia Willis is Immediate Past President.
