Les Dames d´Escoffier Atlanta is a by-invitation-only organization. Each prospective member must be recommended and sponsored by two Dames who are currently in good standing in the Atlanta chapter. The membership process occurs once a year in the spring. The numbers of candidates accepted each year is limited.
Members are women who have achieved distinction and high professional stature, are very knowledgeable in the areas of wine, food, and hospitality, and have a minimum of five years experience in their profession. Members enjoy successful careers as chefs and restaurateurs, cookbook authors, food journalists and historians, wine professionals, food publicists, culinary educators and hospitality executives—a list that is by no means exhaustive—in a wide array of food and beverage–related areas.
